Sponsoring a Child with Cryptocare
Djeinaba lives with her parents and has no brothers or sisters. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is a farm laborer and her mother is a farm laborer. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.
Djeinaba is growing up in Djeol, in southern Mauritania, right on the border with Senegal that’s marked by a river. It’s a dry, hot, rural region near the Sahara desert, characterized by a short rainy season. Most people make a living growing vegetable gardens or crops, raising livestock, or making artisan goods. Djeol doesn’t have many market opportunities, and not many people are trained in entrepreneurial skills or business management. There aren’t enough basic services like hospitals, schools, and job training centers to serve everyone. Families remain stuck in poverty without sufficient access to education, clean water, or income opportunities that would help them change their situations. Only about half of all people in Djeol have good access to health services, and the majority of pregnant women don’t deliver their babies with trained professionals. Although the area has more schools, even colleges, than nearby regions, many kids drop out before they get to high school. There aren’t formal child protection systems in place to help children at risk of child marriage, child labor, or other kinds of exploitation or abuse.
She helps at home by putting toys away. She likes to play with dolls. She is in satisfactory health.
Your sponsorship commitment will help Djeinaba and her family enjoy better health, as they’re supported with training in nutrition, gardening and farming, and hygiene behavior. We’ll partner with the community to engage parents in their children’s education, to keep kids safer from diseases through vaccination campaigns, and to change attitudes about traditional norms like child labor and child marriage—so all children can build brighter futures for themselves.

Sponsoring a child is a personal way to show God’s love to a child in need. For $50 a month, you’ll help that child and other vulnerable children in their community to stand tall, free from poverty.
