Kimsok lives with his parents and 2 brothers. His parents struggle to provide for the family. His father is a farmer and his mother is a factory worker. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs.

Kimsok is growing up in one of the poorest regions of Cambodia where the weather is hot and humid. Parents often struggle to provide for their families’ basic needs and many people lack access to clean water, resulting in malnutrition in children. Most residents are farmers, growing crops and raising livestock. Educational opportunities aren’t sufficient for kids to lift themselves out of poverty, and many leave school with low literacy rates. The pressures of poverty have weakened family structures and affected children’s well-being. With your help, children and families, especially the most vulnerable, will be empowered to create better futures.

Your sponsorship commitment will help Kimsok and his community get better access to resources and support that can empower them to break the cycle of poverty. Lasting clean water and sanitation facilities will be accessible for vulnerable families, helping prevent diseases. Families will receive trainings in business skills, increasing their ability to provide for their kids’ basic needs. We’ll also help make sure healthcare and education are more available so kids have every chance to flourish. Through it all, staff will show God’s love as we care for the most vulnerable children and families.
